Microdosing Monday 3/11/24
Life is a whirlwind and I’m but a small leaf blowing in the storm. Each day is a scramble to scrabble through, but the sun is shining and no matter how easy something is to read, the words have yet to write themselves.
Last week I wrote two blog posts. One about my reading at Poetry Speaks in Evansville, IN and another about the best book haul of my life. I finished a few poems, and hustled tying up some tour and reading dates. I got to see my songwriting/musician friend, Justin Frey, who’s just back from a month long trip to Thailand and Vietnam. And I got to attend a reception for the winners of Toledo City Paper’s Best of Toledo awards. Story about that forthcoming.
This week I have a reading in Portsmouth, Ohio on Friday at the Landing. It’s a big show featuring me, Ezhno Martin and Zach Hannah from Columbus, Damien Rucci and others from the New Jersey Poetry Renaissance, and Nikki Blankenship, C.D. Bailey, JIB and others from the local area. Should be a hell of a time. Get there if you can. This is my only scheduled reading for the month of March.
April will be a good, busy month.
Thursday April 11th I’ll be reading at the Wandering Bean Coffee shop in Toledo with John Amen, Tim Geiger and One Single Rose.
Thursday April 18th I’ll be in Kansas City, MO
Friday April 19th in Indianapolis

Sunday April 21st in St. Louis

Funniest meme of the week. Sure it’s raunchy, but damn did I laugh
A Bukowski quote to bow out on. Buk died 30 years ago on March 9th
Too bad you don't have a few days between KC and IN
Sounds like you'll be busy this April. I hope to catch you one of the times you're in T-town. That's gonna be a kick ass reading in Portsmouth this Friday!
